Sinds 29 juni 2025 heeft het 40e bestuur de leiding genomen. Zij zullen zich hieronder voorstellen. 

Since the 29th of June the 40th board has taken the lead. They will introduce themselves below.

voorzitter

Clair Lea

Het is mij een eer dit jaar de voorzitter van de Rugbyende Utrechtse Studenten te zijn. De afgelopen seizoenen heb ik met veel plezier de nodige ervaring opgedaan binnen verschillende commissies van RUS. Ik kijk uit naar een jaar vol uitdagingen en hoogtepunten die ik samen met mijn bestuursgenoten aan mag gaan. Daarnaast is het einde van een langdurige blessure voor mij aan de horizon, ik kan dan ook niet wachten om dit seizoen weer op het rugbyveld te staan. Naast het rugbyveld en mijn bestuurstaken ben ik werkzaam in de jeugdzorg en zal ik dit studiejaar mijn bachelor psychologie afronden.

It is an honor for me to be the chair of Rugbyende Utrechtse Studenten this year. Over the past few seasons, I have enjoyed gaining valuable experience within various RUS committees. I am looking forward to a year full of challenges and highlights that I will be able to tackle together with my fellow board members. Furthermore, the end of a long-term injury is on the horizon for me, so I can’t wait to be back on the rugby field this season. In addition to the rugby field and my board duties, I work in youth care and will complete my bachelor’s degree in psychology this academic year.

Darja Lamers

Hallo iedereen!s

Mijn naam is Darja en dit jaar mag ik met veel enthousiasme de rol van secretaris vervullen binnen het 40e bestuur. RUS heeft een speciaal plekje in mijn hart en het leek mij een eer om wat moois terug te doen voor de vereniging als bestuurslid.

Als secretaris hou ik notulen bij, beheer ik de mail en zorg ik dat alle leden op de hoogte blijven van al het nieuws. Daarbij zal ik de Toernooicommissie en de Oud Leden Commissie overzien. Buiten Rugby studeer ik met veel plezier Psychologie in Utrecht en werk ik als invalkracht op de kinderopvang en de bso.

Ik heb heel erg zin in aankomend jaar en kan niet wachten om naast RUS ook mijn andere bestuursgenootjes beter te leren kennen. Heb je vragen of wil je iets kwijt, kan je mij altijd bereiken via secretaris@dames-rugby.nl of aanspreken op het veld.

Hello everyone!

My name is Darja and this year I am very excited to take on the role of secretary within the 40th board. RUS has a special place in my heart and I consider it an honor to give something back to the association as a board member.

As secretary, I take minutes, manage the email, and make sure all members are kept up to date with all the news. I will also oversee the Tournament Committee and the Alumni Committee. Outside of rugby, I enjoy studying Psychology in Utrecht and working as a substitute at daycare centers and after-school programs. 

I am really looking forward to the coming year and can’t wait to get to know my fellow board members better, in addition to RUS. If you have any questions or would like to share something, you can always reach me at secretaris@dames-rugby.nl or talk to me on the field.

Penningmeester

Emma Willemsen

Ik ben Emma en dit jaar heb ik de eer gekregen om de rol van penningmeester op te nemen in het 40ste bestuur van RUS. Na vier jaar op het veld te hebben gestaan, kijk ik er naar uit om mij nu extra in te zetten voor RUS. Ik zal mij dit jaar bezig houden met de financiën van de vereniging en alle commissies die RUS te bieden heeft. Ik heb zin  in dit lustrumjaar en kijk ernaar uit om RUS in het welverdiende zonnetje te zetten. Verder zal ik dit jaar mijn studie Fysiotherapie voortzetten en hoop ik natuurlijk veel op het veld te staan.

My name is Emma and this year i have the honour of serving as treasurer of the 40th board of RUS. After playing on the field for the last four years, i am looking forward to dedicate myself to RUS more. This year, i will be responsible for the finances of the association and the commities RUS has to offer. I am excited for this lustrumyear with plenty of wonderful activities and look forward to put RUS in the spotlight it deserves. In addition, I will be continuing my physiotherapy studies this year and ofcourse i hope to be on the field a lot.

wedstrijdsecretaris Willemijn van Bazel

Hi, ik ben Willemijn, De afgelopen jaren heb ik al heel wat commissie-/ bestuurs ervaring op mogen doen bij verschillende verenigingen. En komend jaar heb ik de eer om mij in te zetten als de wedstrijdsecretaris in het 40e bestuur van RUS. Naast mijn bestuurstaken, zal ik komend jaar overzien bestuurslid zijn bij de blessure commissie en bij het einde jaardiner comissie. Naast rugby, werk ik part-time in het UMCU, en ben ik vaak rondom sportcentrum Olympos te vinden, voor werk of om te sporten. 

Ik kijk met veel enthousiasme naar wat komend jaar mij allemaal gaat brengen, en ik heb er heel veel zijn in om mij in te zetten voor RUS.

Hi, I’m Willemijn, In recent years I have had the opportunity to gain a lot of committee/board experience at different associations. And next year I have the honour to be the competition secretary in the 40th board of RUS. In addition to my board duties, I will be an overseeing board member on the injury committee and on the end of year dinner committee. Besides rugby, I work part-time at UMCU, and can often be found around sports center Olympos, for work or to play sports. 

I am looking forward with great enthusiasm to what the coming year will bring me, and I am very excited to get more involved with RUS.

commissaris materiaal Sethuli Wickramasinghe

Hey everyone! I’m Sethuli and I will be the Commissioner of Materials for RUS. I am so so excited to take on this role! On top of being on the 40th board I will also be overseeing the Public Relations committee and the New Members committee. Besides running on the rugby pitch I am also on the National Student Board of UNICEF Netherlands and I love traveling and going on adventures!  I can often be spotted in the city centre where I work cooking food and making drinks at a cafe.
