Commissies
Commissieleden vormen het hart van onze vereniging. Zo zijn er verschillende commissies die zich het hele jaar door inzetten om nieuwe leden te verwelkomen en hen een onvergetelijke introductie van RUS te geven, RUS te promoten, mooie trips, toernooien en activiteiten te organiseren! Hieronder stellen alle commissies zich voor en leggen zij uit wat ze voor de club doen en organiseren. Zie je als nieuw of toekomstig lid een commissie die jou leuk lijkt? Geef dan je interesse op bij het bestuur!
Committee members form the heart of our association. There are many different committees that work hard throughout the year to welcome new members and give them an unforgettable introduction to RUS, promote RUS, arrange fun trips, and organize activities and tournaments! Below this the committees will give an introduction and explain what they do for the club and what they organize. Do you see a committee as a new or future member that interests you? Then register your interest with the board!
de dinercommissie
De Dinercommissie organiseert twee van de grotere evenementen voor RUS, namelijk het traditionele en legendarische Nieuwjaarsdiner en het Eindejaarsdiner. De Dinercommissie is al vroeg in het jaar actief om alle voorbereidingen te treffen. De leden van de commissie verzorgen de beide avonden tot in de puntjes en aan alles wordt gedacht: van de pre-borrel met bubbels tot aan het tussengerecht en van de blind dates tot aan de speeches.
Het Nieuwjaarsdiner is elk jaar een spannende gebeurtenis. Er hangt een thema omheen, er zijn dates en de Babette Broers Bokaal wordt uitgereikt. Aan het eind van het jaar vindt het Eindejaarsdiner plaats. Op deze avond worden er meerdere prijzen uitgereikt waaronder de ‘speelster van het jaar’ en de ’50’- en ‘100’sokken. Beide diners zijn momenten die je absoluut niet mag missen. Het is elk jaar een feest en dat betekent weer een geweldige herinnering erbij.

The Dinner Committee organizes two of the biggest events for RUS, namely the traditional and legendary New Years Dinner, and the End of Year Dinner. The Diner Committee is active very early in the year to make all the necessary preparations. The members of the committee coordinate both evenings down to every last detail; nothing is forgotten: from the pre-drinks with champagne to the side dishes and from the blind dates to the speeches.
The New Year Dinner is an exciting event every year. There’s always a theme, there are dates, and the Babette Broers Bokaal is awarded. At the end of the year the End of Year Dinner takes place. On this evening multiple prizes are awarded including ‘played of the year’ and the ‘50’- and ‘100’-socks. Both dinners are moments you absolutely cannot miss. It’s a party every year, and that means another beautiful memory is made every year.

De lustrumcommissie
Lustrumcommissie zorgt ervoor dat de lustrums niet zomaar aan iedereen voorbij gaan. Ze gaan door het lustrumjaar heen verschillende activiteiten plannen. Door de vele (RUS)ervaring in deze commissie zal alles voor iedereen in de puntjes geregeld zijn. Daarnaast werken ze ook nog samen met verschillende subcommissies: Lustrum Tripcie, Lustrum Galacommissie en Lustrumboek commissie. Hier zal iedereen volgend jaar dus nog veel meer van horen!

The Lustrum Committee ensures that the lustrums do not just pass by everyone. They plan different activities throughout the lustrum year. Due to the extensive (RUS) experience in this committee, everything will be arranged down to the last detail for everyone. In addition, they also work together with various subcommittees: Lustrum Tripcie, Lustrum Gala Committee and Lustrum Book Committee. Everyone will be hearing a lot more about this next year!

de oud leden commissie
De oud leden commissie zorgt ervoor dat de banden met onze oud leden goed blijft. Ze onderhouden strakke lijntjes met de Club van 50, zodat deze belangrijke groep van RUS niet vergeten wordt. Daarnaast organiseren ze verschillende activiteiten voor enkel oud RUS of voor huidig en oud RUS samen. Een voorbeeld hiervan is de Oud-jong dag waarbij er een wedstrijd wordt gespeeld tussen oud leden van RUS en op dit moment actieve RUSjes!

The former members committee ensures that the ties with our former members remain strong. They keep in touch with the Club of 50, so that this important group of RUS benefactors is not forgotten. In addition, they organize activities for former RUS member or for current and former RUS members combined. An example of this is the Old-Young Day where a match is played between former members of RUS and currently active RUSjes!

De pr commissie
Heb je die gave nieuwe posters al gespot? Of die grappige Instagram post? Daar houdt de PR Commissie van RUS zich mee bezig. Buiten baanbrekende promotie acties en het wekelijkse rijlen en zijlen van de social media van RUS schrijft de PR Commissie ook de nieuwsbrief. Zo houden wij RUSjes en oud-RUSjes op de hoogte van alles wat er met RUS gebeurt zowel binnen als buiten het veld.

Have you spotted those cool new posters yet? Or that funny Instagram post? This is what the PR Committee of RUS is concerned with. Besides groundbreaking promotions and the weekly running of the social media of RUS, the PR Committee also writes the newsletter. de sponsorcommissie
Zonder onze Sponsoren zou de bankrekening van menig RUSjes vaak in het rood staan, het studentenleven is duur. De Sponsorcommissie zet zich daarom in om nieuwe sponsoren te zoeken en het contact met huidige sponsoren te onderhouden. Daarnaast zorgen de commissieleden ervoor dat RUSjes door middel van werkacties een deel van je contributie terug kunnen verdienen.

Without our sponsors the bank account of many RUSjes would often be in the red, student life is very expensive. The Sponsor Committee is therefore committed to seeking new sponsors and maintaining contact with current sponsors. In addition, the committee members ensure that RUSjes can earn back part of your contribution through work campaigns.

De toernooicommissie
Flanders Open Rugby, Beachrugby Ameland en BrigandZe Beachrugby zijn de drie toernooien waar de Toernooicommissie zich over ontfermt. De commissieleden zorgen ervoor dat RUSjes onbezorgd kunnen genieten van een weekend vol rugby, feesten en gezelligheid! Alles rondom de organisatie van zoals het regelen van een slaapplek en voldoende eten en drinken maar ook het ontwerpen van een toernooi item zijn taakjes die deze commissie op zich neemt. Dit allemaal zodat RUSjes onbezorgd kunnen shinen met hun toernooi outfit op het veld, het strand en de dansvloer!

de tripcommissie
De Tripcommissie organiseert elk jaar weer een legendarisch weekend. Met een groep RUSjes wordt dan een buitenlandse stad onveilig gemaakt. De Tripcie bepaalt welke stad dat is en houdt deze zo lang mogelijk geheim (het liefst tot aan de voordeur van het hostel). Ze organiseren alles voor en tijdens de Trip en zorgen dat alle elementen voor een geslaagde Trip aanwezig zijn, waaronder: rugby, veel gedans en gesjans, bier en een goede brakke activiteit. Ze zijn ook verantwoordelijk voor het leiden van Court, hier worden alle zonden maar ook memorabele acties van de Trip nog eens overzien. Al met al zet deze commissie zich met volle overgave in om RUSjes een onbezorgd en schaamteloos weekend te verzorgen!

Every year the trip committee organizes a legendary weekend. With a group of RUSjes a city abroad is explored. The Tripcie picks the city and keeps it a secret for as long as they can (if possible, preferably only revealing this in front of the hostel). They organize everything before and during the Trip and take care of all essential elements for a successful trip such as: rugby, dancing, beer and proper hungover activities. They are also responsible for leading the Court in which all sins, but also the memorable activities of the Trip are reviewed. Overall, this committee tries their best to give RUSjes a carefree and shameless weekend.

De activiteiten commissie
De Accie (spreek uit als Akkie) is de Activiteitencommissie van RUS en organiseert ieder jaar drie of vier uiteenlopende activiteiten voor de leden van RUS. Zo hebben ze vorig jaar het halloweenfeest georganiseerd.

The Accie (pronounced as Akkie) is the activity committee of RUS and organizes three or four different activities per year for the members of RUS. Last year they for example organized the halloween party.

de blessurecommissie
De Blessurecommissie is in het seizoen 2018-2019 in het leven geroepen om de blessures van de leden van RUS te monitoren. De commissieleden zorgen dat er een kaartje vanuit RUS wordt gestuurd naar iemand die geblesseerd geraakt is en blijven met de geblesseerde speelsters in contact om te kijken hoe het herstel verloopt. Daarnaast zijn ze op dit moment bezig om het protocol voor hersenschuddingen te professionaliseren.

The Injury Committee was established in the 2018-2019 season to monitor the injuries of RUS members. The committee members ensure that a card is sent from RUS to someone who has been injured and remains in contact with the injured players to see how the recovery is going. In addition, they are currently working to professionalize the protocol for concussions.

De kascommissie
De Kascommissie is verbonden aan de penningmeester. De commissie controleert de financiële stukken en adviseert de penningmeester. Daarnaast kan de penningmeester met vragen (over de financiën van RUS) altijd terecht bij deze commissie. In de Kascommissie neemt altijd minstens één oud-penningmeester van RUS plaats. De commissie is in het leven geroepen om er zeker van te zijn dat de financiën van RUS goed geregeld worden.

The Audit Committee is linked to the treasurer. The committee checks the financial documents and advises the treasurer. In addition, the treasurer can always contact this committee with questions (about the finances of RUS). At least one former treasurer of RUS always takes a seat on the Audit Committee. The committee was set up to ensure that RUS’s finances are properly arranged.

de strategische commissie
De Strategische Commissie, kort gezegd Strateco, gaat over het technische beleid van RUS. In de commissie zitten speelsters van zowel RUS 1, als RUS 2. Samen met de trainers denken zij na over pre-season, de trainingsgroepen en de teamweekenden. In een meerjarenplan presenteert de commissie haar ideeën en plannen voor RUS de komende jaren.

The Strategic Committee, in short Strateco, deals with the technical policy of RUS. The committee includes players from both RUS 1, and RUS 2. Together with the trainers, they think about pre-season, the training groups and the team weekends. In a multi-year plan, the committee presents its ideas and plans for RUS in the coming years.

De nieuw leden commissie
De Nieuwe Leden Commissie, ook wel de NLC genoemd, zorgt jaarlijks voor het werven en behouden van nieuwe leden. Dit begint in mei met het organiseren van een Vriendinnentraining, maar de echte drukte begint met de UIT-week. Dan zorgen de leden van de NLC voor een stickeractie, deelname aan de Sportparade, een kraampje op de Sportmarkt en promotie tijdens de Orientation Day. In september start de introductiecursus en hierna zorgt de NLC voor een spetterend introweekend voor onze kersverse puppy’s!

The New Members Committee, also known as the NMC, annually recruits and retains new members. This starts in May with organizing a Friends Training, but the real crowds start with the UIT week. Then the members of the NMC provide a sticker campaign, participation in the Sports Parade, a stand at the Sports Market and promotion during the Orientation Day. The introduction course will start in September and after this the NMC will provide a fantastic intro weekend for our brand new puppies!
